TSS software products are fully integrated Windows applications with a proven track record for outstanding performance and reliability. The purpose of the following information is to assure optimal, trouble-free program operation and to minimize the user's technical support needs. A stable environment is essential for all systems. If your system does not meet these requirements, TSS software may not operate correctly.

TitleExpress

Single-User Installation

In a single-user installation, TitleExpress is installed and used on one workstation. Following are the requirements for that workstation:

• Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, 7 Ultimate, Vista Business, Vista Enterprise, Vista Ultimate, or XP Professional operating systems with the latest service packs installed
  NOTE: Home or Media versions of the operating systems mentioned above are not supported.
  
• At least 512MB of RAM (1GB or higher is strongly recommended)
  NOTE: Windows 7 and Vista users must consult Microsoft or your computer vendor for operating system specific hardware requirements.
  
• At least 800MHz Pentium-class processor
  
• At least 1GB free hard-disk space
  
• CD-ROM drive
  
• Reliable virus protection software
  
• Microsoft Word 2010 (32-bit only), Word 2007, Word 2003, or Word XP (2002), with the latest service packs installed
  NOTE: Starter versions of Microsoft Office (i.e., Office Starter 2010 and MS Works) are not supported.
  
• Word-based document management programs (such as WORLDOX or HotDocs) must allow integration of other macros and templates
  
• Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 with Service Pack 1
  
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 with Service Pack 1
  
• Microsoft MDAC version 2.8 or later
  
• Reliable backup software

The following are recommended, but not required:

• Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
  
• Internet e-mail
  
• High-speed Internet connection

Workgroup Installation

A workgroup installation consists of a workgroup host and workgroup workstations. The TitleExpress database is installed on the workgroup host. Workgroup installations are acceptable for 2 or 3 users only.

Workgroup workstations must meet the system requirements for a single-user installation. In addition to the system requirements for a single-user installation, the workgroup host must meet the following requirements:

• Peer-to-peer implementation of the workgroup operating system
  
• TCP/IP must be an installed protocol
  
• Name resolution resolves the workgroup host and workgroup workstations names correctly
  
• Workgroup host and workgroup workstations must communicate successfully via TCP/IP
  
• Reliable backup software
  
• At least 1GB of RAM

Client/Server Network Installation

A client/server network is required for an installation with more than 3 users. It contains a server computer and client workstations. The TitleExpress database is installed on the server computer.

Client workstations must meet the system requirements for a single-user installation.

The server computer must meet the following requirements:

• TCP/IP must be an installed protocol
• Name resolution resolves the server computer and client workstations names correctly
• Server computer and client workstations must communicate successfully via TCP/IP
• Microsoft Windows 2008 or 2003 Server with the latest service packs installed
  
• Sufficient processors and RAM for the operating system
• At least 1GB of free hard-disk space
• CD-ROM drive
• Reliable backup software
• Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 with Service Pack 1
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 with Service Pack 1
• Microsoft MDAC version 2.8 or later

Pervasive.SQL Software for the workstations:

• Pervasive.SQL 9.5 Client Edition or later

Printers and Scanners

Following are requirements:

• Any Windows-compatible laser or inkjet printer. For newer HP printers, the PCL5e, PCL6, or PS drivers are the required printer drivers. Because of the volume of documents and the legal size paper needed for the HUD-1 Settlement Statement and other legal forms, we recommend a high-speed, dual-tray laser printer.
• Older and/or less robust printers may require additional memory and will perform very slowly when printing complex documents such as the HUD-1 Settlement Statement.
• Scanning devices must have a TWAIN compliant driver and scanning interface.
• A third-party utility to enable direct scanning from your local workstation to the terminal server must be purchased to use ScanExpress in a Terminal Services or similar environment. RemoteScan for Terminal Services is a recommended utility.

Pervasive.SQL Software

Pervasive.SQL is required for TitleExpress installations. The cost of the Pervasive.SQL software is typically included in the TSS Quote. TSS provides Pervasive.SQL support only when the Pervasive.SQL software is provided by TSS. The Pervasive.SQL software must be installed and configured on your network by a competent systems integrator prior to the installation of TitleExpress. Microsoft Components

The Microsoft .NET Framework and MDAC components required by TitleExpress are available for free from Microsoft. They can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site.

Component Verification

TitleExpress requires Microsoft.Net Framework versions 1.1.4322 or later versions of 1.1 and 3.5.30729 or later versions of 3.5. Currently, this computer has the following versions:

Versions highlighted in red are not installed. If a required version is not installed, download and install it from the Microsoft Web site.

Third-Party Integrations

The QuickBooks integration allows you to export invoices from TitleExpress directly into QuickBooks. To use this integration, QuickBooks must be version 8 or later.

The Calyx Point integration allows mortgage professionals to send order directly to your TitleExpress software through iOrderExpress. To use this integration, Calyx Point must be version 6.0B or later.
